Fishing
Some people view fishing as boring. Sitting on an old wooden pier or grandpa's boat. Waiting for a fish that never bites. Personally I love sunny afternoons on the water with a cooler filled with fish. The peaceful sound of nothing but the birds and waves of the lake. I remember spending a week in Eagle River every summer with family and friends where the guys put twelve hour days in the fishing boat. I had a lot of fun every summer on that boat. I remember seeing whitetail deer and black bears along the lake drinking by the shore. Loons calling for their buddies across the lake, eagles flying over the pines. My dad used to throw the dead bluegills to the eagles to try to get a good picture. These days were filled with water and sunshine. Every night we would dock the boat and have a fresh fish fry from the day's catch. Fishing truly is a relaxing activity if you learn to appreciate the little things in life.
