thank you for your comment! it is sad. i often feel this way about myself which is what inspired the idea. i wanted the girl to be leaving the mirror to show how many of us walk away seeing those things in ourself. thats why she is wearing a dress as well, to show that even when we wear our "nicest" clothes we still may feel that way

"We Must
bring our own light
to the darkness" by poet Charles Bukowski
- about prouving yourself... I'm on my way to accomplish that!
I used to be one of thoose girls.
I used to despise my skin.
I used to feel so bad as way you do.
But one day I decided: NO. I'm entitled to feel pretty, no mater what others think of my look. I deserve to love my face and my body, even if I look ugly or hedious to others. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, because I built my self-esteem and I forced myself to like what's in the mirror, so now if someone says I'm ugly, I proudly say: FINE, that's what you think, but I'm pretty.
I HOPE YOU AND ANYONE WHO DOESN'T FEEL GOOD WITH THEIR LOOK REALIZSE THAT YOU ARE AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOU WISH, BECAUSE APPEARANCE AND CONFIDENCE ARE DEFINED BY YOU - AND NOT BY OTHER'S JUDGEMENTE! PLEASE REALIZE THAT YOU SHOULD AND MUST LOVE WHAT YOU SEE!! That empowers you in others things, it's a awesome state of mind! Sure some days I still look at myself and go: What the hell? That's bad or Today I look so horrifyng! BUT NOW since I consider myself pretty, more people tell me I'm pretty. Which didn't happened till I saw it myself.
i wrotte an article about self-esteem; if you read it, i hope it inpires you! I love your photo and I would even love more if girls like you learn to be proud and strong! YOU DESERVE IT! All the best for you!!! :)
