My Box
Been living behind these closed doors,
In the contours, indoors and ignored.
Voices bouncing off these walls,
I recall the squalls at night fall,
Still I feel that something is awfully wrong.
Been living alone inside this vault,
I can’t avoid all my own faults,
And still I feel that this is my fault.
Light a match, light up the room,
Throw on some records and turn up the volume.
Inside my box,
No Chains, no locks,
Too afraid to leave this space,
On my own, disgraced and erased.
Someday I’ll try,
To bid my goodbyes,
To this place,
Before I die.
Been living alone inside this vault,
I can’t avoid all my own faults,
And still I feel that this is my fault.
Inside my box,
No Chains, no locks,
Too afraid to leave this space,
On my own, disgraced and erased.
Someday I’ll try,
To bid my goodbyes,
To this place,
Before I die.
