Shadowed
Beautiful December

I still remember the flower that you left me.
It’s a constant reminder of the way things used to be.
But now you’re gone and the sun doesn’t shine now.
But I know we’ll meet again- here face to face somehow.
And the storm will race me home…
Until I’m safely in my room.
Then my mind begins to roam…
As I once again think of you.
Beautiful December, remember, a love so tender.
I’ve been waiting a lifetime for.
My world’s dissolving and I’m falling, but I don’t deserve this.
I don’t think any of us do.
 Beautiful December because of you.
You told me a secret and you asked for me to keep it.
I was surprised when you said that we’d remain.
But I often wondered why your heart seemed so cold.
Like lightning and thunder devouring your soul.
And the snow is falling down…
As I think of love lost then found.
 And you and I coexist…
Because I'm letting my heart take a risk.
Beautiful December, remember, a love so tender.
I've been waiting a lifetime for you.
My world is falling and dissolving…
 And I don’t deserve this.
I don’t think any of us do.
 Beautiful December because of you.
