Chains
I am trapped by the chains of another
But I am kept at my own accord
For the pain caused by freedom too soon
Would not be worth my own award
So here I stay with my tattered old rags
And these chains constricting my skeletal wrists
Until I've stayed and kept my promise
Of dancing with my hands upon your hips
But when I break from these horrid lines
These chains of another “Let’s just be friends”
I’ll come to you and reveal my heart
And our candid love will burn to no end
