Going Home
Away in the night a soft cry can be heard
A little girl sits not saying a word,
she looks up with her blue eyes glowing
she smiles at you, gently bowing,
she's sad to be leaving you but understands why
she only wishes that she had a chance to say bye,
but now she's at home with Jesus above
with her she took your memory and love,
now she can rest with her father in peace
and now the bad feelings will finally cease,
so don't be sad when remembering this child
just remember her laugh and the way that she smiled,
this is not the end but only a new beginning
and today in heaven this child is winning.
