Helen
You were blind
as a baby kitten,
struggling to find
answers
in the things
you could not see,
hoping
that something
divine
would shine
where you stumbled.
You wished for noises
to penetrate your ears.
When you fell,
you could not
hear your crash.
But when you spoke,
you spoke with grace;
your hands
like flowers
blooming.
