Nightmare
I woke one night in fright
A scream caught deep in my throat
So not to wake my dad
It seemed all too real
As a monster under a bed is to a kid
I had panicked, my head under my pillow
If I cant see it, then it can’t see me
But I was wrong
It had seen me
I start to run
It knows my name
I run faster and faster
But I had come to a dead-end
But just then I awoke
Crying like a child would cry
In the silence I wait for light to come
Only then I’ll know its safe again
