We’ve been together, side by side
For many, many years.
So much we’ve learned, the two of us
Through all the laughs and tears.

She’s always there to help me
Whenever I need a hand.
My best friend is often the only one
Who listens and understands.

We have so much in common
But differences exist.
No matter what, we get along
And nothing, have we missed.

And of course we fight; we yell and scream
But, what friends don’t do such?
‘Cuz at the end of every day
We know the love is much.

This special friend will always stay
Close to my heart within.
