O, Sedimentary Rock
Come hither, my love,
dear sedimentary rock.
From your multiple layers of strata, to your beautifully compacted particles,
You’re perfect.
It’s so… stylish, how you are neatly classified into
three different groups.
Clastic, chemical, or organic, I’m yours for keeping.
No one could possibly love you as much as I do.
Not even the clasts, solutions, or little dead sea creatures,
All from which you are made,
Could feel such an intense passion for you as I.
The ardor is sprouting out like a fountain and flowing over the sides.
I am teeming with it, and you must relieve me.
O, sedimentary rock, I love you so.
