Dear Mom
Good mothers are hard to find
But you are the perfect kind
Loving, caring, I am sure
Your tender hugs are the cure
To every doubt, every fear
You’ve showed me love throughout every year
I remember all the fun we’ve had
You showed me joy when I was sad
You picked me up when I couldn’t walk
You sat me down and we had this talk:
“You are my daughter, this is true
I love you, but you must love you.”
I love you, Mom, I always will
You sealed a spot no one else could fill
I have learned to love myself
Because you’ve loved me along with everyone else
You’re a rainbow in the rain
Smiling and loving me through all the pain
My goal is to be like you
Godly, loving, kind, and true
I couldn’t have gotten anyone better
To be my friend, to be my mother
