Henry VIII
A powerful king was born on this day
On the 28th of June in a place far away.
The year was 1491 and many celebrated
The birth of a king that they later hated.
Henry the VIII was a mischievous little thing
Who later grew up to become a mischievous king
This cruel and powerful king was rather obese
As Henry grew older, so did his weight increase
Known for his murders and want of a male
Henry’s life has been researched with much detail
With his 6 wives of different names
They all played a part in Henry’s love games.
He divorced the first, the second was beheaded
The one who fell ill and died was the third one he wedded
The fourth met a fate similar to the first
But the fifth’s fate, execution, was far worse.
The sixth wife was lucky, she lived past the death
Of Henry VIII, past his last breath
Three Catherines, two Annes, and only one Jane
All of his wives must have gone insane
For living with Henry was a magnificent feat
Because King Henry VIII was full of conceit
He got what he wanted and was never denied
If someone disagreed with him, they just died.
So as we close and come to an end
Remember one thing: become Henry’s friend.

The goal is not about living forever, the goal is about creating something that can.
