Novels are Splendid

I think novels are quite splendid
They tell a story better than others
They’re better than my grandfather’s
I get mad when they are overextended
Sometimes I go on a reading spree
It can distract me from life
It can help me ignore a strife
I read a book and sip some tea
Reading too long can make me sore
It makes me start to count sheep
I think I need some sleep
Luckily I don’t snore
