My Mind
Desire and paranoia tangled together
Just another altercation to see what prospers
The longing to have it, the horror to obtain it.
The fear conquered my mind
When that longing is just strong enough,
the power to triumph is always just an illusion;
I'm so ashamed to fall.
Pessimism overpowers in such an ugly way
Negativity develops subconsciously;
what I've always feared
Reality is the sun,
fear is a cloud,
blocking the shine of what could be there;
I'm too ashamed to see.
