Day after Day
Day after day,
Oh night by the night.
I’m just sitting here,
Wondering how I can get so far.
I need somebody,
To be there for me.
By my side helping me,
Through the long days and nights.
Day after day,
Oh night by the night.
Crying for someone to hold me,
And tell me everything is going to be alright.
A long road ahead,
Full of anger and pain.
I just don’t know what to do,
In this deep darkness of my life.
I then see you,
With your smile.
And the laughter you bring,
Is like a window opening to heaven.
Day after day,
Oh night by the night.
I’m sitting in the gloomy dark,
Wondering how I can live without you.
I discovered,
You’re the person I need.
But I know life isn’t always fair,
Because I can’t have someone like you.
Day after day,
Oh night by the night.
I spent the time getting over you,
But in the lonely dark I still think of you.
