Unclean Spirits
Spirits wander day and night,
Flying high, flying away,
I wish I were a spirit,
To watch over the world,
I’d have no feelings,
Have no clear thoughts,
Doing whatever I please,
Yet I’m stuck here in this world,
With so much agony and pain,
While conniving, deceiving, scared little thieves take over,
What have we succumbed to?
In this place we call home.
All I see are the unclean spirits,
Wandering day and night,
Losing control, losing their minds;
Letting the demons,
Overcome their helpless bodies.
While the world is being condemned to hell,
Where is God? Where is God!
I scream!
Over and over,
Knowing he’ll never come.
Still I choose to scream,
Where is God? Where is God!
Up in heaven on his throne,
Laughing vindictively;
While we’re here on this place we call home,
Vanishing, perishing, into the unknown,
Where is God? Where is God!
I manage to say,
As my unclean spirit,
Drifts away.
