Grandpa and me
A brown fuzzy blanket
 The smell of emptiness
 Stuff scattered about
 A deathly quiet day
 Five years visiting
Watching eclipses in old worn chairs
Tripping in shoes three times bigger than my little feet
 “My little tangerine peeler”
He’d say when I sat on his brown chair
 Walking along the beach
 Playing with play-dough
 Remembrance of my childhood
A man I will never forget
 Shots fired
 Ashes placed
 Into a wall
 No more smiling face
