I was happy to learn that you had submitted a poem to Teen Ink. I was not aware of the website. Your title set up a sense of mystery and perked my curiosity. "The wooden Rock"? But rocks are not made of wood. What is she going to say about rocks? I kept reading and found out the answer to that question.
Writing is one of those skills (like gymnastics and other sports) that improve when we practice it and assess the reactions of other people. Keep it up, Lydia! I'm proud of you, great-niece.
