MadNesS
Broken flowers
lay on the bed
glass spreading
across the floor
maybe he should
have known better
everything he has felt
has come to a end
no more chances
no more laughter
tears take up
the space now
only to break him
down the shadows
paths will take him
eyes will go blind
silence will mend
maybe a beautiful mercy
to save him
her face
like a picture
in his mind
haunts him
day after day
only to bring him pain
the roses red and white
fade to black
the petals broken and dead
bringing the bottle back again
trying to rid the blame
Her smile
brings tears
should have thought boy
before you broke her down
and took her soul
kept her from flying
all she wanted
was to feel alive
something better to believe in
no, you gave her
the gift of lies
she walks alone now
afraid of everything
she's known
go ahead and beg
for the pain
take the bitter sweet end
broken flowers
lay on the bed
glass spreading
across the floor
maybe he should
have known
somehow to stop
all the madness
