Promises I’ve Broken

I promise… to go to bed on time,
even when my favorite episode of Family Guy is on.
I promise… to do the dishes,
and not to make the dishwasher do them for me.
I promise… to do my homework the day it’s due,
and the week after.
I promise…not to fight my cousins,
even when they throw the first blow.
I promise…not to lie.
I promise…not to EVER,
break a promise.
