Where I'm From
I'm from Beanie Babies and Barbies,
From McDonalds, Burger King, and Arby's.
I'm from princess dress-up days,
From sitting in class off in a daze.
I'm from Barney and Blue's Clues,
From crying over things I managed to lose.
I'm from middle school dances,
From taking risky chances.
I'm from volleyball tournaments with my friends,
From long phone converstaions that never seemed to end.
I'm from Limited Too and Abercrombie and Fitch,
From playing in puddles we found in the ditch.
I'm from bathing in the sun,
From wanting to have fun.
I'm from cell phones and chasing boys,
From saying goodbye to my old toys.
I'm from cold days staying warm inside,
From injuries when two things collide.
I'm from jumping into a pile of leaves,
From thinking high school would just be a breeze.
I'm from spending time with the people I love,
From never forgetting those up above.
I'm from being crazy and being free,
From most of all, just being me.
