broken mirror
I take one look in the mirror
One look
And the mirror shatters
I look down
I see many miniature shining mirrors
Perfect to slice herself deep
She picked up the piece
Put it to her arm
Pushed down
And dragged
Now she stands
Bleeding
Flowing blood
Drips down to the other pieces
The broken mirror
Now stained with blood
I take one look
One look
And the pieces snap back up
As if it were never broken
But the message clear for only
Her to see
“You’re Not Alone”
I look away and the glass shatters
To my feet
