After I worked
with the passion of a thousand
thoughts, actions,
I sat, stared at the clouds,
the rolling patches of white quilts.
If it is your will, God,
I will work until the day
he sleeps
in white quilts
next to me
as I sit, stare at the clouds
in his eyes
as he wakes.
