Easy For Them To Say
The first day of school is always hard,
When everyone around you puts up their guard.
Your parents tell you to have a good day,
Hah! Easy for them to say.
You never know what friends you’ll make,
The jocks, the nerds, or even the fakes.
Your mom says you’ll find someone who’ll play,
Hah! Easy for her to say.
The first few hours are going fine,
Until the bell rings and it’s time to dine.
Your teacher says you’ll love the café,
Hah! Easy for him to say.
Sitting alone isn’t so fun,
You just can’t wait for it to be done.
The girls across invite you to stay,
Hah! Easy for them to say.
You think the end will never come,
Look at the clock and twiddle your thumbs.
The teacher tells us the homework to our dismay
Hah! Easy for her to say.
Finally, it’s time to go,
By the end you’re feeling kind of low.
Well, tomorrow is a brand new day,
Hah! Easy for me to say.
