Sweet Summer WIshes
You and I
Fingers intertwined, the fragrant green grass joining in our affectionate gesture
Golden sunlight pouring upon us, we begin to believe it’s shining solely for us
Distant sounds of cars and airplanes, reminders of the modern world we live in
Mingle with nature’s music in a sweet, harmonious symphony
But they do not worry us; we lay there unmoving
Our gaze fixed upon the eyes of one another, neither of us daring to look away
After all, why would we ever want to?
