The Desk
The desk just wanted to feel
Some love and adoration
The desk just wanted to see
All the childrens’ bright faces
The desk just wanted to hear
About the gossip at school
The desk just wanted to live
Happy and free as could be
But it could not,
For as the rest talked and smiled,
The desk stayed grounded in place
For as the rest jumped and screamed
The desk stayed quiet and serene
For it was stuck,
With nowhere to go
No places to be
And no one to see
