I sit apun a suitcase, because
maybe I am leaving.
With a bow tied in my hair,
your indecisive ways might think I'm pretty.
Contradictions are wired around my bones,
I spent some days wondering.

Obliterate my path, I winded around just so
I disembarked from your status,
the kingdom you had built.
Inconsistent messages, you said I was different.
But I cried all afternoon, because I knew what this meant.

Offbeat, I twisted around this garden
you weren't sure but, you knew I could never be
a part of your veins. I was different.
You didn't cry at all, because you knew what this meant.

Contrasting shades don't go together, you said.

But I was busy painting a sunset.
