March!
We should be swallowed up
By anguish and despair
But we are not
We should be filled with hatred
For those who hate us
But we are not
We should be giving up
Because they ignored our cries
But we are not
Instead we gather
Thousands strong
We hold each other
We listen to each other
We know each other
And we love each other
We pump our fists
We yell at the top of our lungs
We refuse to give up
Because it is not over
We will get our rights
Our voice will be heard
We will be able to love
Whom we want to love
So we gather
And walk
We walk for miles
We hold signs and chant
Our feet hurt
Our voices are hoarse
Our throats are begging for water
But we march on
Because love is worth it
