Everyone has worked on a Saturday
Flirt up your hair girl.
Put on the summer dress.
Go get the volleyball.
Forget about the bedroom mess.
I’ll pick you like a daisy,
and put you in my pocket,
I’ll hold your hand gently,
and never ever drop it.
I’ll give up every other girl,
if only you grab my fingers.
Come on, the boat is ready,
The Captain seldom lingers.
Don’t waste your time on make-up,
your eyes are always perfect.
Sometimes, I do some stupid things,
your smile is always worth it.
Put on your bathing suit,
The lake is waiting.
There’s an island in the middle,
and a rope on a tree for swinging.
Just, always look at things,
on the bright side.
You can never tell how empty or full the glass is,
when you’re staring into sunlight.
Don’t lay there,
moping about opportunities passed.
I’ll be there in five minutes,
The daylight’s burning fast.
