It's a world of hot rods on the road
attracting nothing but eyeballs
and eyeballs are not
respect.
Simply there to fill the sockets
and not the heart.
We are the parking-lot girls
waiting to be driven
because we know what hot rods look like
under the hood
Never built for a drive to California,
Rhode Island and back.
We know that hot rods
fill up salvage yards in California
and Rhode Island
Because we see everything
from the parking lot.
