My name is Oliver, a rising 9th grader. I'm a budding poet who's interested in world affairs. This piece was inspired by the recent sinking of both the Titan sub and refugee ship near Greece. In Titan's case, it received worldwide attention while the missing 500 refugees went relatively ignored by most of the media. Water, regardless of fame or coverage, treats everyone the same. It can both give and take life.
