Drowned in my old war

Salvation flows like water out of my hands

It’s easier lying on the floor

I made sure my body was sore

Bloodying each other in dim lands

Drowned in my old war

I cannot escape the scenes of gore

Grasping for weak strands

It’s easier lying on the floor

My life would be clean - you swore

Stow away my new plans

Drowned in my old war
