Stage Fright

I take my first word…
And freeze.
All eyes are on me.
Fear has made me a cripple.
I try to continue to find my tongue frozen.
I count seven hundred eyes.
I say my first word again.
The second came easily
The third was a little harder
The more I go the easier it is.
Laughter rose from the back.
I was frozen yet again.
I try to go on and blackness over comes me…
