As we stare at one another, her face turns blank.

She stands there paralyzed—horrified at my actions—my job.

Aromas of rotten fish and garlic slither through her window.

The sun awakes, and the faded charcoal clouds dissipate.

As the ravens dance around me, I gaze at this woman's soul;

flooded with agony and helplessness. I finally ask myself,

Should I show myself? “Just this once,” I whisper to myself.

As my cloak drops, her soul sinks at the sight of my face.

The sight of the face of death

sent her into a constant dream of horror.
