my different lives

At school I am wave blue
Crashing into people's lives,
Wanting to be seen and heard
Hoping I will bring a person up
But I might hurt them when I crash in
Ultimately bringing them down
But At home I am a purple sunset
I am gentle and calming
And can bring a smile to your face
But I only stick around for a few minutes
Because after being a wave all day
` I have no energy and sink away from view
To not be seen again until the next day
I am both a wave blue wave and a purple sunset but in the end
The wave always washes away the sunset
