Remember Me
Passing on
Death slowly takes your life
Now it’s over
You see blindingly bright lights
As life flashes past your eyes
Were you happy with what you saw
Did you make the most of life
Or do you wish you had more time
To fix your mistakes
To make a lasting impact on the world
Does what happens today define your life
You may not think about this now
But how will people remember you
Will they remember you as the Shy Friend
Who listened while everyone talked
That hid behind others at social gatherings
Were you the kind person found at the store
Who provided assistance to those in need
Lending out change when others were just short
Did you change the world
By finding the cure to a thought incurable disease
Or ending world hunger
But what about the other ending
That leaves you
Lost in time
Forgotten
Or even
Erased
Because you did nothing
This is your life
Make the most of it
Because once it’s gone
It’s gone
