Ode to my Violin
Oh violin
So strong and trustworthy
Yet elegant and beautiful
The fairest I’ve ever seen
Sounds as graceful as nails on a chalkboard
Or as incredible as rain on a tin roof
frankly
It depends on the person behind the wheel
You with the Melody
The rest with just mere Harmony
Your strings
waiting to create
The enchanted thing
you sing
Cellos can give all their hate
We all know they are jealous of your fame
oh
I love your luxurious look
At the end of your bow a hook
Violas and cellos, as well as harps
I can never compare to how I feel at heart
When you make your soulful song
oh
You know I’m not wrong

I love my violin and have been playing it since 2nd grade. It's my favorite hobby. I play for a youth orchestra and have a private teacher. This poem expresses how important my violin is to me.
