of a broken heart
The color of birth
from the very start
Black is the color
of the deepest well
Of life after death
of fiery hell
Black is the color
of anger in the sky
The color of depression
the center of my eye
Black is the color
of slaves once beaten
Of bleeding hands
that plead for reason
Black is the color
of knives going deep
The color of tears
of which we weep
Black is the color
of a devils rhyme
The color of nights
the end of time
Black is the color
of butterfly wings
The color of notes
when an angel sings
Black is the color
of today, of tomorrow
The color of forever
the color of sorrow
Black is a color
a dream without sleep
Black is my soul
yours always to keep

really good poem! i liked it, especially the last part. it kinda reminds me of one i wrote once, but mine was about scarlet. if you wanted to read and comment (good or bad) on any of my stuff, it would be greatly appreciated.
