The Star Sewer
I thread my needle with starlight and close my eyes, soaring up up up
clouds my stepping stones in this vast lake of blue
needle and thread in tow
wind rushing past with a whispered hello
and the moon turns and smiles
glistening all the while
so I leap and dance, for the sky
is my oyster and the starlight my paintbrush.
And if all the stars align I just might
sew a little something tonight
and watch as
a star
is born, sparkling on this
fabric of the night
