Walls
These walls will fall
They shall not hold me anymore
For too long have I hidden behind these stone fortresses
My heart quivers as I rip stone from stone in my quest for freedom
I built these walls out of my blood, spirit, and tears
But I now seek a new refuge that shall not capture me within
The walls have fallen
Now what do I do?
I remember now the reasons I built these walls that lay at my feet
The road is straight that leads from this barren wasteland
I follow it, tears soaking the ground as I begin a new journey
I mourn the stones that have crumbled behind me.
But in haste do I move on to new things and new places.
