Lost Love
Our love is now a burning home,
Your love towards me disintegrating to embers
But at the same time, you are entangled in your own fiery embers of love being lost
Glass shatters, you can’t take the pressure
Walls crumble, and your defenses fall
You are the exterior of the burning house
Once breath-taking and beautiful
Now burning to the ground
In the aftermath, you are but charred remains
But I am the remaining structure that held up this house
Standing tall and untouched from our fiery demise
And unscathed
From lost love
