When It's Early
When it’s early in the morning,
You can see the sun and the moon
The trees look like they’re mourning,
Crying tears into the lagoon
The water reflects yellow,
Pink, maroon and green
The waves are smooth and mellow,
The field grass long and lean
Wander towards the water’s edge,
And step tenderly, with care
To the top of the grassy ledge,
And wait there completely aware
Watch as the colors of the water glow,
Contrasting eachother in the light
Look down at the scene below,
At everything that could and might
And then just close your eyes,
And listen to what you saw
The wind, the waves and the cries,
And from the world, withdraw.
