It Often was the Wind
It often was the wind.
How it always came then passed.
Sometimes in gusts,
Sometimes in a breeze,
No matter what—
It’s always protected me.
The coolness of the ages,
The whisper of my inspiration,
Comfort sent from heaven,
Desire of wishful thinking.
As lucky as a penny,
The success of God,
Healer of Father Time,
Friend to Jack Frost.
The wonder of many wonders,
Of how it currently works.
Not meant for men to know,
It’s secrets hidden by heart.
