daybreak of a summers day

A sliver of orange
rises from behind the mountains
the songbirds harmonize
with the dying sounds of the night
under the trees it is cool and moist
but soon it will be boiling and dry
the morning is crisp flowers emerging
twill soon be a very busy place
but for now it is calm
and i enjoy all of it
for never once have i missed
daybreak of a summers day
