my head feels as soft as my pillow
malleable and full of cotton
nothing grows in these fibrous clouds
the stringent soap and hot water
exterminate any fungus
insect rodent bacterium
or leopard in its budding stages
my pillow and my head are clean
no torturous scratching or waking
trapped in a carnivorous plant
only yielding softness
and a sterilized slate
I should dissolve into slumber
effortlessly
no need to play Russian roulette
early into the morning
yet I do
