Burning Rose
I once knew love, But did ere not know
This, My love was soon to go
This to be sure was news to me,
And I did let my love but know
Without her, my life would shamble
And i would certainly woe
If love be symboled by a rose then T’is love I knew.
For it is love I had, and in me love that grew
If surely i knew love
Then my love came to naught
Pity, pity
For this single rose i brought
Spread the ashes as dying love sorrow grows
No flower smells sweeter than the burning rose.
