Let Me Cry
Let me cry,
please let me
sob.
Let the shivers
run up my
spine,
as I try
to resolve.
What's
going on
in this little
old house?
Why am I locked
in a cage? And
why am I not
yet out?
Let me cry
by myself,
for I'll drown
others that
come near.
Just let me
curl up
into a ball,
let me out
of here.
My lip
quivers,
my tongue
stuck to my teeth.
I wish people could
see, what's
underneath.
This is just
a teen angst,
they'll probably
say. But when
I'm gone,
when there's
rot and decay,
maybe they'll listen,
as I muffle my screams.
Maybe they'll hear me
for once,
rather than letting
me be.
Let me cry,
Oh darling,
let me cry.
[Maybe then I'll be fine.]
