Excuse Poem
Yesterday morning I woke in my bed
To find that a letter was placed near my head
I read the letter and it said
That the big, green frog had taken over the bog.
I couldn’t let this happen now.
I must do something somehow.
So I picked up a big, sturdy log
And went to the bog to find the frog.
It didn’t take much you see.
As soon as he saw me he ran up a tree.
So I went home happy that I hadn’t failed,
Happy that I had prevailed.
And now I must admit,
(Though I know you'll have a fit)
In all the confusion at the bog
I kinda forgot to walk the dog.
