Second Look
The sorrow taste of your disappointment
Leaves a deep wound in my soul.
The sweet drink of your poison
That makes it harder to reach the goal.
All the sugar-covered promises
Hide the sinister knife.
Remembering the losses,
Bleeding out life.
I fade away slowly with your words.
Having a bright smile, lying.
Yet nobody ever learns
How I’m disappearing, dying.
Your “love” doesn’t the emptiness fill.
Your “love,” especially to me, kills.
