It's a world
Filled with oceans
And dirt
Connected by bridges
And people
Reaching out
Holding hands
Walking over bridges
The sun shines
In intervals
Because it's not big enough
To shine on everyone
At once
The stars glimmer
In most places
But only if the lights turn off
Long enough for them
To come out and play
Pathways crisscross borders
Gates etch out restricted areas
And clouds float above
Interstates and valleys
Sometimes getting pierced
By a mountain that's
Grown too high
It's a world
Filled with things
And nothings
Insignificant
And noteworthy
Oceans and dirt
And people
People all connected

Your explanations for the world are all very simple and practical, yet I loved this poem (for its simplicty and practicality). You worded it very well, and it's a joy to behold. :)
